It was 2013 when second-year student Molly Case took to the podium at the RCN Congress to address the audience with her signature piece ‘Nursing the Nation’. A poem to uplift her friends and fellow NHS workers whilst responding to the recent media negativity. Molly received a standing ovation and over 30,000 views on YouTube for the poem, injecting faith and humanity back into NHS during a time when privatisation was imminent and dividing.

Since Molly’s success with ‘Nursing the Nation’, she has been commissioned to write for the NHS Summit 2013, she has collaborated with Roundhouse Online film fund Winner Libby Knowles and won The Times/UCAS Love Learning competition with her essay on discovering inspiration in a nursing degree.

Now her début collection has been released with Burning Eye Books, it explores the importance of memories and things that slip away as life goes on. Poems that contain both the blood and bile from first kisses to the last breath of lives beyond hospital walls.
