“One of the most gifted and funny poets in Britain today.”
– Hammer & Tongue

It’s April Fools! But this is no joke, The Day My Head Exploded by Rob Gee is now available from our web store!

We start our 2021 schedule with a prolific collection from a poet who has been around on the scene for a long time, he’s toured across the world at Fringe festivals and is known for his one person shows on mental health and nursing. Rob Gee’s new collection takes the best of Rob’s material from over the years, in and out of hospital wards. We are delighted to represent one of the UK’s longest active performance poets and we’re looking forward to the official launch on 25th April with special guests Steve Larkin and Lydia Towsey. More info on that coming shortly!

Rob Gee worked for twelve years as a mental health nurse before becoming a stand-up poet. When his career as a performer was interrupted by COVID-19, he returned to nursing. The poems in The Day My Head Exploded are drawn from his experiences as a nurse, inpatient and writer in healthcare settings.
